Meet our Sol Mates

Before there were shared tables and golden hour dinners, there were hands. Family, Farmers, Artisans, and Chefs, all in the local Temecula Valley/North County area, who believed in gathering with intention.

These are the Original Sol Mates:

Gina Ortiz

With a vision for building something meaningful, Gina brings warmth, intention, and a love of home cooking to every gathering. As the owner and steward of the land, she shapes The Vista Sol with care, ensuring every detail honors the property, the seasons, and the people who gather here. Her spirit sets the tone for The Vista Sol, where hospitality feels personal and every table seems as if it was waiting just for you.

Brittany Mendibles

Brittany shapes the way The Vista Sol’s story is shared and how it’s community grows, capturing the moments, the people, and the feeling that lingers long after each table is cleared. Through thoughtful storytelling, design, and genuine connection, she invites others to gather, belong, and become part of the circle.

Chef Tony Silva

Chef Tony cooked the very first Campfire Dinner at The Vista Sol, over open flame, beneath a sky that felt impossibly wide. With creativity and seasoned technique, Tony has helped shape how our Dinners run, working his magic behind the scenes.

Jake Rentner

One of our first wine partners, Outlaw Wine Company, crafts small-batch wines from locally sourced surplus fruit, transforming what might be overlooked into something extraordinary. Jake’s creativity and dedication to sustainability bring unique flavors to every glass, enriching the meals, the stories, and the shared moments around the table.

Our regenerative gardening specialist, Jami, helps shape the vision behind our culinary experiences and guides our team to honor the rhythms of the land. Her hands-on mentorship spans gardening workshops, bread baking sessions, and more, helping guests connect with the process, the ingredients, and the stories behind them. Her guidance and creativity bring flavor, intention, and community to every gathering.

Carlos and Jasmine have been part of the Vista Sol family since day one. Carlos, helped build the very infrastructure that makes the venue possible. Today, the couple brings their energy and creativity to every Campfire Dinner, and even conceived their own event, Sunsets + Stogies — a Latin-inspired gathering for guests to enjoy cigars, conversation, and the beautiful sunset. Their hands-on contributions and inventive spirit continue to shape the experiences that make Vista Sol so unique.

Nick and Carlos have brought their craftsmanship, vision, and tireless dedication to the Vista Sol from the very beginning. Together, they built our tiny homes with their own hands, creating intimate spaces where guests can connect with the land and each other. Their skill, creativity, and attention to detail ensure overnight stays feel intentional, inviting, and relaxing — a true reflection of the hands and hearts that built it.

Golden Creek Reserve, a local cattle ranch, brings a unique story and flavor to the Vista Sol even without appearing on every plate. Through its partnership we’re able to create an exclusive dinner for our Sol Mates where guests experience the connection between land, livestock, and fire in an intimate, elevated setting. Represented by Carlo, known for his iron & fire cooking technique, the ranch connects guests to the land, the livestock, and the care behind every product.
